Too much red light at night?
#1
I fell asleep under the red light. I have a bulb next to my headboard and spent the whole night sleeping under it. I woke up feeling fatter and with noticeable bags under my eyes. do you think this was overkill? Could I have activated my stress hormones by doing this?

Maybe too much red light increases nitric oxide.

Darkness and cold are major stressors. Sleep seems to be an adaptation to stress.

Red light relieves stress, but it's best to go by how you feel. If you feel like you did not sleep well, then you may want to reduce the red light exposure.

It sounds like the lamp was 2 feet away,it's like cooking a turkey so yes that would be stressful.

Will shining red light on my anus reduce endotoxins?
